Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to $5 higher. Trade activity was moderate on very good demand. The trading area cooled off from the triple digit heat. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to $1 higher. Hay trades were mostly steady to $5 higher. Movement was light to moderate with producers cutting second to third cuttings and dairies and feedyards assessing their supplies. In the Texas High Plains grain markets the bulk of bids were mostly 7 to 9 cents lower on grain sorghum; 5 to 7 cents lower on wheat; 3 to 5 cents lower on corn.
