Ranch Gatherings and BQA trainings held in Texas, Oklahoma

More than 450 members, neighbors, friends and guests attended ranch gatherings and Beef Quality Assurance events in Texas and Oklahoma last week. Oklahoma events were held in Kellyville, Guthrie and Okmulgee. Texas events were held in Cuero, Rio Grande City and San Manuel-Linn. A Beef Quality Assurance training was also held in Alice. Attendees of the gatherings heard from their local TSCRA Special Rangers on law enforcement activities in the area and got updates on legislative issues affecting ranchers and landowners.
Special thanks to Sam Rodriguez and RY Livestock Sales for hosting in Rio Grande City. LPJ Ranch and the Flores family hosted us and cooked a great meal in San Manuel-Linn. Elanco Animal Health sponsored the meals at all of the Ranch Gatherings. Other sponsors included Capital Farm Credit, Multimin, Inc., Cuero Veterinary Clinic, Cuero Livestock Commission Company, Crystalyx Brand Supplements, Ful-O-Pep Feeds, Boehringer-Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc., and DeWitt County Producers Association.
Upcoming ranch gatherings are planned in Waco on Oct. 1, Anahuac on Oct. 6 and what is usually one of TSCRA’s best-attended events, the annual Fredericksburg gathering on Oct. 8. For more information, visit tscra.org and check out our event calendar!
