UPDATED: TSCRA News Release: Authorities Searching for Suspects in Garza County Equipment Theft

Post, Texas – Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) Special Ranger Dean Bohannon is seeking information on the theft of five saddles, four ATVs, a shop welder and assorted tools from the Drew Kirkpatrick Ranch headquarters located south of Post, Texas on Hwy 669.
According to Bohannon, the theft occurred between 7:00 p.m. on Sun. July 24 and 7:30 a.m. on Mon, July 25.
Authorities reported five different stolen saddles described as a Lane Smith tooled saddle, a Dee Buckner saddle, a Tooter Cannon saddle, a Ryan saddle and a David Barnes saddle.
The suspect(s) also stole a green 2013 Polaris Ranger UTV with a single bench seat, a red 2009 350-series Yamaha Kodiak ATV, a blue 2009 700-series Yamaha ATV and a black 2009 700-series Yamaha ATV. Additionally, a shop welder and assorted tools were stolen from the property.
Anyone with further information regarding this theft case should contact TSCRA’s Operation Cow Thief hotline at 888-830-2333 or call Special Ranger Bohannon at 806-789-9476. A cash reward up to $5,000 may be paid to individuals who can provide useful information leading to the arrest and indictment of suspect(s). Individuals reporting information may choose to remain anonymous.

TSCRA has 30 special rangers stationed strategically throughout Texas and Oklahoma who have in-depth knowledge of the cattle industry and are trained in all facets of law enforcement. All are commissioned as Special Rangers by the Texas Department of Public Safety and/or the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
TSCRA is a 139-year-old trade association and is the largest and oldest livestock organization based in Texas. TSCRA has more than 17,000 beef cattle operations, ranching families and businesses as members. These members represent approximately 50,000 individuals directly involved in ranching and beef production who manage 4 million head of cattle on 76 million acres of range and pasture land primarily in Texas and Oklahoma, but throughout the Southwest.
