Most areas of the state experienced warmer temperatures last week, with the exception of the Upper Coast, where precipitation ranged from 1 inch up to 5 inches with isolated areas receiving upwards of 10 inches. Isolated areas of the Edwards Plateau, South Central Texas and South Texas also received upwards of 5 inches of rain. There were 6.5 days suitable for fieldwork. Rains slowed rice harvest in the Upper Coast.
Producers continued to provide supplemental feed to help herds maintain good body condition in dry areas however, hay supplies were scarce in areas of the Blacklands. Stock tanks remained at low levels in several areas of the state. Pasture and range condition was rated 67 percent poor to fair.
