Fort Worth, Texas – The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) today congratulated Sen. John Cornyn on his election to serve as Minority Whip for the 113th Congress.
“Senator Cornyn has been a good ally for Texas ranchers in Washington,” said Joe Parker Jr., rancher and TSCRA president. “He’s worked to protect private property rights and the free market system, 2 things that are critical to, not only the cattle industry, but also our great state.”
“As we enter this challenging economic time, it is important to have strong leaders who will do what’s right for the country, for our state and for the ranching community. We are confident Sen. Cornyn will continue to do this and we look forward to working with him in this new role.”
