TSCRA government affairs staff are closely monitoring the 2018 Farm Bill. TSCRA supports the legislation. It contains a number of provisions important to cattle raisers, including funding for a foot and mouth disease (FMD) vaccine bank, research, foreign market development and conservation programs such as the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP).
Earlier today the U.S. House of Representatives voted to defeat the farm bill, however that vote may be reconsidered. We do not yet know when that vote will take place, but will continue to provide updates. Please tell your member of Congress that you support the 2018 Farm Bill.
