According to the USDA’s Thursday Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review, negotiated cash trade was very active on very good demand in all feeding regions. Compared to last week in the Texas Panhandle, live purchases were $8 higher with the bulk of sales from $145 to $146. In Kansas compared to last week, live purchases were $7 to $9 higher, mostly at $145. Compared to last week in Nebraska, live purchases were $7 to $10 higher from $145 to $147. Dressed purchases were $11 to $15 higher at $230 with a few up to $232. In Colorado compared to last week, live purchases were $7 higher from $145 to $147. In the Western Cornbelt compared to last week, live purchases were $8 to $13 higher at $145. Dressed purchases were $11 to $15 higher at $230 with a few up to $232.
