TSCRA to host Ranching 101 seminar in Pleasanton

FORT WORTH, TEXAS – The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) will host a Ranching 101 seminar in Pleasanton, Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Atascosa Livestock Exchange. The seminar will begin at 8 a.m. and end at 2 p.m.
While the seminar is designed specifically for people starting off in the ranching business, anyone interested in the cattle business is invited to attend.
The seminar will give participants practical, sound guidance on the tools and equipment needed to get started in ranching; how to properly match livestock and natural resources such as pasture and water; basic herd health, nutrition and animal care; managing business finances; and theft prevention. This brief course will arm any livestock owner with information they can immediately use and benefit from.
The Atascosa Livestock Exchange is located at 2002 Hwy 97 W, Pleasanton, Texas 78064.
Admission is free and lunch will be served. A complete agenda can be found at www.tscra.org.

TSCRA’s Ranching 101 seminars are sponsored by Pfizer Animal Health.
The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association is a 134-year-old trade organization.  As the largest and oldest livestock association in Texas,  TSCRA represents more than 15,000 beef cattle producers, ranching families and businesses who manage approximately 4 million head of cattle on 75.9 million acres of range and pasture land, primarily in Texas and Oklahoma.  TSCRA provides law enforcement and livestock inspection services, legislative and regulatory advocacy, industry news and information, insurance services and educational opportunities for its members and the industry.
