TCFA elects new officers and board at annual convention

Texas Cattle Feeders Association elected new officers, leaders and directors during their annual convention, which was held Oct. 26 to 28 in Oklahoma City. Tom McDonald, Dalhart, will serve as chairman of the board; David Baumann, Dawn, is chairman-elect; and Jim Lovell, Canyon, is vice chairman.

Cattle feeders elected to one-year terms on the board of directors are Brad Hastings, Amarillo; Jordan Levi, Oklahoma City; Tom McDonald, Dalhart; Bill Robertson, Wichita, Kan;, Andy Rogers of Dimmitt and Kyle Williams, Lubbock.

Directors chosen for two-year terms are David Baumann, Dawn; Levi Berry, Happy; Roger Clift, Gruver; Stacy McCasland, Wheeler; Jason Peeler, Floresville; and Brad Stout, Amarillo.

Elected to three-year terms as directors are Joel Bassinger, Vega; Jody Bellah, Throckmorton; Michael Bentley, Canadian; Blain Ferris, Hereford; Jim Lovell, Canyon; and Jimmy Schwertner, Schwertner.

Also serving on the TCFA Board are the association’s two immediate past chairmen: Walt Olson, Gruver, and Jason Hitch, Guymon, Okla.

Retiring members of the TCFA board include Paul Coleman, Muleshoe; Russell Goble, Miles; Shelby Horn, Hereford; Sid Sawyer. Amarillo; Pete Scarmardo, Caldwell; and 2012 TCFA Chairman Jim Peters, Quemado.
