About 200 ranchers, landowners and guests joined TSCRA and the Fort Bend County AgriLife Extension Office for a ranch gathering in Rosenberg on Tuesday.
Attendees were treated to a presentation and live cattle demonstration by Dr. Jason Cleere, associate professor and Extension livestock specialist with Texas A&M University. TSCRA Special Ranger Tommy Charbula gave information on local cases he’s working on and Kaleb McLaurin, TSCRA director of government affairs, updated everyone on legislative and regulatory issues facing ranchers. TSCRA President Pete Bonds wrapped up the evening by encouraging non-members in attendance to become TSCRA members.
New members received a free metal gate sign courtesy of Bayer Animal Health and New Holland Agriculture. Thanks to Claudia Wright, TSCRA director and Association Promotion Committee chairman, for her work in hosting this event. Sponsors included Novartis Animal Health, Capital Farm Credit, Damon Farm and Ranch and Hlavinka Equipment Co.
We have many gatherings planned across the state and are adding more each week — check our event calendar at tscra.org to see if we are having one in your area!
