What’s the difference between a horse and the weather?
A: One is reined up and the other rains down.
Well, it rained down over the past week for most of Texas and Oklahoma. In particular, parts of eastern Oklahoma and the Texas Hill Country received anywhere from 3 to 6 inches of precipitation. As a result, the most recent U.S. Drought Monitor showed improvement from the Hill Country into South Texas. For Oklahoma, the Abnormally Dry (D0) area east of I35 to around Tulsa was removed.
As you know, the weather in Oklahoma and Texas can turn on a dime. To stay up to date on these weather patterns across the region, LivestockWx is pleased to announce a new service for the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association–the LivestockWx Weather Decisions Planner.
The intent of the LivestockWx Weather Decisions Planner is to provide precise weather forecast information each morning that helps livestock producers make informed short-term decisions.
Once you sign up, you will receive an email notice each morning which includes your daily planner. Or, if you would prefer not to receive a daily email, simply bookmark the URL for future reference.
