Attend a Ranching 101 program in Palestine or Center this week

TSCRA is hosting two opportunities for cattle raisers to attend a Ranching 101 program this week in Palestine on Thursday, Oct. 13 and Center on Friday, Oct. 14. Ranching 101 seminars give participants practical, sound guidance on the tools and equipment needed to get started in ranching. While these seminars are designed for people starting off in the ranching business or looking to improve their existing operation, anyone interested in the cattle business is invited to attend. 

Topics include:
– Equipment selection
– Cattle health
– Resource management (stocking rates, range health, etc.)
– Marketing
– Chuteside demonstration with live cattle

Anderson County Livestock Expo Center
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Directions: From Palestine, head north on US-287 for 3.6 miles. Keep left onto US-287. The event will be on the right after 0.7 mile.


Oct. 14: Center
Raymond Construction
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m.

Directions: To get to Raymond Construction from TX-7 north of Center, turn south onto TX-500 at the intersection of TX-7 and TX-500. After 0.3 mile, turn left onto FM 2788 and the event will be on the right after 0.2 mile. Follow the TSCRA signs.
