Friday will be your last chance to vote for a $1-per-head Texas beef checkoff. Vote at any TAMU AgriLife Extension Service office during regular business hours. Find a full list of county office locations and hours at texasbeefcheckoff.com. A “uniquely Texas” checkoff will strengthen beef demand in the marketplace. A state checkoff, controlled by Texans, will complement and extend current research, promotion and education programs of the Texas Beef Council. A state beef checkoff will more aggressively confront critically important beef industry challenges such as misleading claims about food safety and animal care, shifting consumer attitudes, nutritional myths and competition for export markets.
