As hurricane season ramps up, folks close to the coast may want to review their hurricane preparation plans and evacuation routes. Even those far from the coast can see heavy rain and flooding as storms move inward. Having a plan in place could save valuable time and help you protect your livestock and property.
The National Weather Service is watching an area of concern in the Gulf that was previously a tropical storm named Harvey. They suspect Harvey may strengthen in the next few days and meander into the southern coastline of Texas, bringing with it at least bring the possibility of heavy rain across the entire coast extending far inland.
