USDA Texas Weekly Markets Recap, June 10, 2019

Feeder steers and heifer sold steady to $3 lower. Trade activity and demand were moderate. Thunderstorms throughout the week dumped several inches of rain and brought damaging winds. Supply included 34% feeder cattle (52% steers, 44% heifers, 3% bulls); 5% slaughter cattle (94% cows, 6% bulls); 0% replacement cattle (68% stock cows, 18% bred cows, 4% bred heifers, 11% cow-calf pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 81%.
