USDA-NRCS Soil Science Division has a new name

In October 2018, several branches in the USDA-NRCS were reorganized. One of the reorganization actions involved renaming the Soil Science Division to the Soil and Plant Science Division (SPSD) to better reflect the work being done in both soil and ecological sciences. The PLANTS database team is a new addition to SPSD and a few personnel were realigned within SPSD to better focus on the collection of both soil and ecological data, the analyses we do with that data, and the delivery of both data and information to the agency and to the public. Read more…
