Fox News’ Bret Baier to headline Cattle Raisers Convention

The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) will welcome Bret Baier, FOX News chief political anchor and host of “Special Report with Bret Baier,” as the keynote speaker at the 2019 Cattle Raisers Convention and Expo, March 29-31, 2019, at the Fort Worth Convention Center.

Baier will present his insights into the Trump Administration, Congress and politics in America. With humor and insight, he will share an exclusive perspective, poignant anecdotes and up-to-the minute analysis of what is going on at the White House and on Capitol Hill.

“We are thrilled to welcome Bret Baier to the stage at the 2019 Cattle Raisers Convention,” said TSCRA President Robert McKnight Jr. “TSCRA hosts the annual convention on behalf of all ranchers in the Southwest, and we certainly invite all ranchers to attend. It is our privilege to bring such high caliber speakers to our general session.”

“Special Report with Bret Baier” (weeknights 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. central) is the top-rated cable news program in its timeslot and consistently one of the top five shows in cable news.

Prior to his anchor role, Baier was named chief White House correspondent in 2006 and covered the second term of the Bush Administration. Before that, he served as national security correspondent covering military and national security affairs, as well as defense, military policy and the intelligence community from the Pentagon.

Baier is the author of The New York Times best seller, “Special Heart: A Journey of Faith, Hope, Courage and Love” and “Three Days in January: Dwight Eisenhower’s Final Mission.” His latest book, “Three Days in Moscow: Ronald Reagan and the Fall of the Soviet Empire”, is available now wherever books are sold.

The Cattle Raisers Convention and Expo is the largest ranching event of the year in the Southwestern United States. It features programs and activities of interest to cattle raisers, landowners and the general public, with opportunities for everyone to participate.

“If you own land or livestock in Texas or the Southwest, the Cattle Raisers Convention is an excellent investment of your time,” said McKnight. “I am confident you will find opportunities to further your education, gain keppra antiepileptic meds, make useful business connections and have some fun.”

Ranchers are invited to attend professional development classes offering practical education at the beginner and advanced levels. This year’s School for Successful Ranching will offer learning sessions and live demonstrations on topics including cattle health, legal issues, range and pasture management and marketing.

Industry experts will also be on hand for a variety of information sessions on issues that have a direct impact on cattle raisers, landowners and consumers. Included in these sessions will be updates on federal and state legislation, international trade, an explanation of how Alexa, Siri and now “Chuck” are changing the way consumers find health and nutrition information, and efforts to reform Texas’ eminent domain laws.

This year will feature the largest Expo in the history of the Cattle Raisers Convention with more than 250 booths offering a vast array of ranching supplies, services, jewelry, clothing, local food and more.

Much more is on the agenda, and registration is now open. Visit www.CattleRaisersConvention.com for more information and to register to attend and reserve hotel rooms at the headquarters hotels. The deadline for early registration and to reserve a room at the 2019 Cattle Raisers Convention rate is Friday, Feb. 15.

The event is open to the news media. Please contact Jeremy Fuchs, TSCRA director of public affairs, for more information on event registration for media. Additional high-resolution photos are also available upon request.
