Daily Livestock Report: Spike in meat prices as capacity crunch hits home

Cattle and hog slaughter is on track to post big declines this week. At this point, Daily Livestock Report projections suggest at least a 30% decline in fed cattle slaughter and a 16% decline in hog slaughter vs. the comparable week a year ago.
