The longest ever period of disruptions at the West Coast container ports appears to be over with a return to seemingly normal vessel activity, according to the May 7 USDA “Grain Transportation Report.” While daily terminal operations at West Coast ports may not be as efficient as shippers would like, the report noted that the containership backlog is dramatically improved.
