The Roth family, owners of Beef Products Inc., have started a $10 million dollar fund benefiting former workers who were impacted by the closing of plants in 2012 following ABC News reports that called their product “pink slime.” BPI Family Support Fund was started to aid the approximately 750 workers who were laid off at three plants in Iowa, Kansas and Texas.
