TSCRA Special Ranger Troy McKinney, Dist. 11 in North Texas, reports a ranch horse was shot and killed in Cooke County within the Gainesville city limits. Some time in the evening of Aug. 22 or early morning of Aug. 23 a palomino gelding was shot and killed at the New Gainesville Livestock Auction barn. Anyone with information on this case is urged to call Special Ranger McKinney at 903-429-4011. Anonymous tipsters may also call the Operation Cow Thief Hotline at 888-830-2333. A cash reward is offered for information leading to an arrest and/or grand jury indictment.
