The Texas BEEF Team participated in the Million Mile Month™ challenge and logged a total of 68,278 miles during the month of April. The Texas team joined forces with other state beef teams and ended the month placing fourth on the international leaderboard. The Texas team cumulatively logged enough miles to travel more than two times around the world. Hawley Poinsett, the Texas Beef Council’s registered dietitian, kicked-off the event at Austin City Hall where she rallied excitement for beef and MMM for more than 100 guests in attendance.
