Fort Worth, Texas – U.S. Senate candidate Ted Cruz will speak at the general session of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) fall meeting Wednesday, Sept. 26, at the Sheraton Austin at the Capitol. Cruz is scheduled to speak at 9 a.m.
“We are honored to have Ted Cruz speak to cattlemen and women during the TSCRA fall meeting. As the largest and oldest livestock association in the state, TSCRA has a longstanding tradition of forming and maintaining good relationships with our elected officials,” said Joe Parker Jr., rancher and TSCRA president. “We look forward to working with Ted Cruz on a number of different issues and are confident he will represent the Texas cattle industry well in Washington.”
The TSCRA fall meeting begins Sept. 24 and runs through Sept. 26. Scheduled speakers include Comptroller Susan Combs; Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples; U.S. Rep. John Carter; Texas House Speaker Joe Straus; Texas State Sen. Tommy Williams; Texas State Rep. J.M. Lozano; and Texas State Rep. Harvey Hilderbran.
