March 29, 2018: Hot Forecast
Over the next 10 days unusually-hot temperatures — reaching near or in excess of 100 degrees — will be focused over west-central Oklahoma and the Oklahoma-Texas Panhandles and the Rolling Plains of Texas.
The below image shows the forecasted high temperatures for Thursday, June 1. The numbers indicate the record highs for that date. We could see some records broken, particularly for parts of west-central Oklahoma. The second image shows the precipitation deficits we are running since Oct. 1.

Unfortunately, as the temperature anomaly animation below shows, the high temperatures will remain over these areas with large precipitation deficits through June 8.
