Robert Luis Rulo, Jr., 43, of Claremore, Okla., was arrested Saturday in Rogers County on a felony warrant for 2 counts of larceny of livestock in a case involving 6 calves stolen from a neighboring rancher.
TSCRA Special Ranger Bart Perrier led the investigation. TSCRA Special Ranger John Cummings, Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Agent Ricky Rushing and authorities with the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office worked with Perrier throughout the investigation.
According to Perrier, the investigation began in the fall of 2015 when the suspect is alleged to have stolen 6 calves from a neighboring rancher near the Tiawah Hills area. The cattle were sold at livestock auctions in Tulsa and Collinsville, Okla.
Perrier arrested Rulo and took him to the Rogers County Jail where he was held on a $10,000 bond.
“Thanks to the teamwork between TSCRA Special Rangers and local authorities, another cattle thief was arrested,” said Perrier. “This is a great reminder for ranchers to keep a close watch over their livestock, brand cattle and report suspicious activity to local authorities as soon as possible.”
TSCRA would like to thank Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Special Agent Ricky Rushing and the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office for working closely with TSCRA Special Rangers throughout this investigation.
