Cattle Raisers to Host Ranch Gathering in Alpine

Fort Worth, Texas – The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) will host a ranch gathering Tuesday, Jan. 22, at the Holland Hotel in Alpine. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by a complimentary beef dinner.
Attendees will meet Ronnie Hunt, the TSCRA Special Ranger for District 18. Hunt will report on recent cattle thefts in the area as well as provide tips on protecting livestock and equipment against theft.
“TSCRA ranch gatherings are a time for ranchers to get together and discuss what’s going on in the cattle business,” said Joe Parker Jr., rancher and TSCRA president. “These gatherings aren’t just for TSCRA members. Anyone interested in the cattle industry is invited to attend.”
The event is open to the public. All members of the press are invited to attend.

TSCRA is a 136 year-old trade association and is the largest and oldest livestock organization based in Texas. TSCRA has more than 16,000 beef cattle operations, ranching families and businesses as members. These members represent approximately 50,000 individuals directly involved in ranching and beef production who manage 4 million head of cattle on 76 million acres of range and pasture land primarily in Texas and Oklahoma, but throughout the Southwest.
