Cattle Raisers gather this week for fellowship and education

More than 250 Cattle Raisers, friends and guests joined TSCRA at events this week. Ranch gatherings were held in Sulphur Springs and Nacogdoches, to hear updates about TSCRA’s law enforcement and government affairs activities. Sponsors of these events were Elanco Animal Health, Multimin USA, Texas Farm Credit, Lone Star Ag Credit, Nutrition Plus, Heritage Land Bank, Livestock Nutrition Center, Burgin Pipe and Supply, Legacy Ag Credit, EDC Ag Products, Westway Feed Products and Martindale Feed Mill. We have gatherings planned in Dumas and Elk City, Okla., in June. Visit tscra.org and check out our event calendar. We’re adding new events frequently!

A Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) producer training was also held at the Luling Foundation in Luling, where attendees learned about food safety, animal handling and well-being, environmental stewardship, injection site management and much more. TSCRA partners with the Texas Beef Council and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension on this program. The Texas Beef Quality Assurance program is sponsored by Boehringer-Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. For more information on the BQA program, including June programs in Center, Sulphur Springs and Lufkin, visit texasbeefquality.com.
