TSCRA leaders, members and guests gathered Thursday in Austin to discuss issues important to landowners and the cattle industry. Border security, private property and water rights, sustainability and animal health were among the topics featured in committee meetings throughout the day. Attendees also heard from State Comptroller Glen Hegar about the state of the Texas economy and Dr. Derrell Peel, Oklahoma State University Extension economist, regarding the outlook of the cattle market. Scholz Garden was the setting for an evening reception with drinks, food and pleasant Austin evening.
The last day of the Policy Meeting will wrap up on Friday morning with a board of director’s meeting and speaker State Sen. Charles Perry.
