“Grazing, Hunting, and Livestock Leases” will be the title of an Aug. 2 natural resources webinar conducted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service ecosystem science and management unit.
The webinar is a part of the Texas Range Webinar Series scheduled the first Thursday of each month, said Pete Flores, AgriLife Extension webinar coordinator in Corpus Christi. The webinar is also supported through grant funding from the Southern Risk Management Education Center. The webinar will be from noon to 1 p.m.
Tiffany Dowell Lashmet, AgriLife Extension agricultural law specialist in Amarillo, will lead the discussion.
“Leasing land is an important part of the ranching operation for many producers and landowners,” Dowell Lashmet said. “What laws apply to leases? How much should be charged? What terms are included in a good lease agreement? This webinar will focus on practical advice for landowners and producers drafting and negotiating grazing, hunting, and livestock leases.”
There will be no Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units offered this month, so the webinar is free for all participants, Flores said.
