Make Sure Your YES vote for the Texas Beef Checkoff referendum counts!

The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) is validating a random sampling of the ballots cast in the 2014 Texas state beef checkoff referendum. TDA has contacted randomly selected voters to confirm they were eligible to vote in the 2014 state beef checkoff referendum. To be eligible to vote, a producer must have owned at least one head of cattle anytime between June 6, 2013, and June 6, 2014.
TDA has requested proof from those randomly selected voters who owned cattle some time during that timeframe. A document such as a bill of sale, feed receipt, veterinarian bill or another business record proving cattle ownership must be submitted to the TDA by close of business tomorrow, Tuesday, July 1.
TDA will destroy all records within 30 days.
If you were contacted by TDA to validate your vote, it is very important that you provide the requested documentation by close of business tomorrow, July 1.
Failure to do so will invalidate your vote and may affect the referendum outcome.
If a representative from TDA has contacted you, please respond by close of business tomorrow. The outcome of the referendum vote is greatly impacted by this validation process. Your cooperation is very important. Thank you.
