Hay barns can be a profit center

In a beef herd, the biggest expense is feeding cows during the winter. With hay being the biggest cost, any waste that can be prevented will favor your bottom line. If you can save 30 to 40 percent of that cost, it might mean the difference between an annual profit or loss.
