Join youth from across Texas on June 23-28, 2019, at the Texas Tech University campus in Junction, Texas, for the nation’s longest running natural resources program for teens! Participants in the 65th annual Texas Section Society for Range Management Youth Workshop will gain useful knowledge and valuable skills in ecology, inventory practices, management and evaluation of resources. Experts will teach topics on watershed management, prescribed burning, soil health and more, in important hands-on sessions and field trips during this week-long event. Youth are also trained in public speaking, advocacy and leadership so they are armed with the knowledge and experience to effectively educate others in rangeland management, regardless of the career path they choose. The workshop is open to youth ages 14 to 18 and have completed the eighth grade. The workshop cost is $400 and includes all meals, lodging and educational materials. For more information click here.
