Wayne Cockrell

Second Vice President, Secretary & Treasurer

Wayne Cockrell operates Cockrell Cattle Co. based in College Station. He also actively markets ranches as an agent with Icon Global Real Estate throughout Texas and New Mexico. 

Cockrell is a graduate of Angelo State University, the Texas Christian University Ranch Management Program, and is a Texas Agricultural Lifetime Leadership Class VII Alumni. 

Cockrell was elected to the Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association board of directors in 2017; and has served on the association’s executive committee, and as chair of the membership development committee. He currently serves as chair of the cattle health and well-being committee. 

Cockrell and his wife, Becky, have three children: Christy, Kelcey and Charlee.
