Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers sold mostly $2 to $5 higher. Trade was active on very good demand. High winds brought in colder temperatures with scattered thunderstorms across the Panhandle over the weekend. Slaughter cows and bulls steady. Trade active and demand good. Alfalfa sold steady to $5 lower as sellers dropped prices to get hay out of the barns and ready for new crop. All other hay classes remained steady. In the Texas High Plains grain markets the bulk of bids were mostly 1 to 2 cents higher on grain sorghum; mostly 3 to 4 cents higher on wheat; and mostly 1 cent higher on corn.
