TSCRA hosts Ranching 101 seminars in DFW area

FORT WORTH, TEXAS – The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) will host 2 Ranching 101 seminars in the Dallas-Fort Worth area Aug. 25 and 26.
The first seminar will take place Thursday, Aug. 25, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at TSCRA headquarters in Fort Worth. The second will take place Friday, Aug. 26, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cain Center in Athens.
While the seminar is designed specifically for people starting off in the ranching business, anyone interested in the cattle business is invited to attend.
The seminar will educate participants on the tools and equipment needed to get started; how to properly manage resources such as pasture and water; basic herd health, nutrition and animal care; managing business finances; and theft prevention.
TSCRA headquarters is located at 1301 W. Seventh St., Fort Worth, Texas 76102. The Cain Center is located at 915 South Palestine Street, Athens, Texas 75751.

TSCRA’s Ranching 101 seminars are sponsored by Pfizer Animal Health.
The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association is a 134-year-old trade organization. As the largest and oldest livestock association in Texas, TSCRA represents more than 15,000 beef cattle producers, ranching families and businesses who manage approximately 4 million head of cattle on 75.9 million acres of range and pasture land, primarily in Texas and Oklahoma. TSCRA provides law enforcement and livestock inspection services, legislative and regulatory advocacy, industry news and information, insurance services and educational opportunities for its members and the industry.
