TSCRA Crime Watch: Wharton County theft of guns, jewelry and electronics

TSCRA Special Ranger Tommy Charbula, Dist. 24 in the Texas Gulf Coast area, reports the theft of multiple guns, a laptop and a safe containing valuables from a property in Wharton County. On Nov. 28 a thief or thieves made entry to a house by prying open a garage door and took 21 gun;, a laptop; and a safe containing jewelry valued at approximately $3000; deeds, documents and paperwork; as well as a large amount of cash. Due to a rise in similar incidents, local law enforcement has increased patrols in the area and asks residents to report unusual or suspicious vehicles or activities to Wharton County Sheriff department at 979-532-1550.
