TSCRA Crime Watch: Hay bale arson in East Texas

Ranchers in Northeast Smith County between Tyler and Longview have reported at least two instances of unexplained burning of round hay bales on Saturday evening, Nov. 12. The Smith County Fire Marshal’s office is investigating. Anyone with information regarding a person starting fires in this area is urged to  contact the Smith County Fire Marshal’s Office at 903-590-2655 or TSCRA Special Ranger Larry Hand at 1-800-242-7820 or 903-592-5252.
