TSCRA Crime Watch: Cattle missing in NE OK and N TX; Saddles stolen in N TX

TSCRA Special Ranger John Cummings, Dist. 5 in northeast Oklahoma, reports the theft of 3 branded black cows and 2  unbranded black calves stolen from a property near Strang in Mayes County. Sometime after Oct. 21 a thief or thieves cut a fence and bent metal posts to steal 3 black Angus cross cows weighing 900 to 1000 pounds, each branded with a large backwards B connected R on the left hip; and 2 black unbranded Angus cross calves weighing approximately 200 pounds, each. TSCRA Special Ranger Wayne Goodman, Dist. 10 in North Texas, reports 3 saddles taken from a tack room in Burleson some time after Oct. 14. Missing is a silver Mesa show saddle with a 16-inch black padded seat, border tooling in oak leaf pattern with basket stamping on the inside of border tooling, silver swells, cantle, skirts, back housing, and silver stirrups; a brown Billy Cook show saddle with a 16-inch brown padded seat, silver on swells, cantle, skirts and back housing and silver stirrups; and a brown child’s show saddle with a 12-inch padded brown seat, silver on the swells, cantle, skirts and back housing, black billet buckles, oak leaf tooling and silver stirrups. TSCRA Special Ranger Troy McKinney, Dist. 11 in far North Texas, reports the theft of a cow and 4 calves missing from a property in Sherman some time after Oct. 19. Missing are a black cow with with brands or ear marks; 3 black calves weighing 400 to 500 pounds, each, with no marks or brands; and 1 brown calf weighing 400 to 500 pounds, with no marks or brands.
