This week's TSCRA event wrap up; Cattle Raisers in Fredericksburg, Ranching 101 hits the road

TSCRA hosted ranch gatherings this week in Tilden and Fredericksburg and began the first of many Ranching 101 workshops planned across Texas this fall. The event that was held in Fredericksburg on Thursday, Oct. 6, is historically our largest ranch gathering of the year, and this year did not disappoint. More than 500 people joined us at the Gillespie County Fairgrounds to enjoy a beef dinner and to hear from industry and association speakers. Huge thanks go to the Fredericksburg gathering’s premier sponsor Elanco Animal Health and to event sponsors Capital Farm Credit, Kawasaki, Lyssy and Eckel, and Tru-Test Group.
Y Bar Ranch also sponsored a gathering this week at the Y Bar Ranch in Tilden, where attendees heard from their local TSCRA Special Ranger about law enforcement activities in the region. Appreciation goes to the evening’s sponsors Elanco Animal Health, Capital Farm Credit, Tru-Test Group, Silveus Insurance, Norbrook, Inc., Ful-O-Pep Feeds, and Lyssy and Eckel Feeds.
We also took our Ranching 101 sessions on the road this week, welcoming more than 100 attendees to events in Mount Pleasant and Gonzales to hear about cattle health, equipment selection, resource management, marketing and to get a live chute side demonstration. The sponsors for the Ranching 101 sessions are John Deere, Merck Animal Health and Preifert.
Check out our Upcoming Events Calendar at tscra.org to see if we have a ranch gathering or Ranching 101 session planned in your area this fall.
