Ranching event scheduled Sept. 30 in De Kalb

TSCRA will host a ranch gathering Tuesday, Sept. 30 at the De Kalb Animal Hospital in De Kalb, Texas. Attendees will enjoy a free beef dinner and presentations from TSCRA Special Ranger Toney Hurley, who will discuss how to keep their livestock and equipment safe from theft and Texas Beef Council Executive Vice President Richard Wortham will provide an update on the Texas beef checkoff. TSCRA staff also will update cattle raisers on important legislative issues.

Registration will begin at 6:00 p.m. followed by a complimentary beef dinner. The event is free and open to the public. Anyone interested in ranching is welcome to attend.

To get to the De Kalb Animal Hospital, at the intersection of Hwy 259 and Hwy 82, head south on Hwy 259. After .3 mile, turn right on FM 1701 and take a slight left on FM 1701. The animal hospital will be on the right.

The ranch gathering is sponsored by Novartis Animal Health, Lone Star Ag Credit and Paris Livestock Auction. Anyone who joins TSCRA at the gathering will receive a free metal gate sign courtesy of Bayer Animal Health and New Holland Agriculture
