Ranching event scheduled Aug. 28 in Center

TSCRA will host a ranch gathering Thursday, Aug. 28, at the John D. Windham Civic Center in Center. Registration will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by a complimentary beef dinner.
The event is free and open to the public. Anyone interested in cattle raising or ranching is welcome to attend.
TSCRA Special Ranger Larry Hand will provide a law enforcement update and offer ranchers advice on how they can keep their livestock and equipment safe and secure. Mike McCravey, Texas Beef Council, will provide an update on the Texas beef checkoff. TSCRA staff will also update cattle raisers on important legislative issues.

To get to the John D. Windham Civic Center, go north on Hwy 96 for 1.2 miles and turn left onto Express Blvd. The civic center will be on the right.
The ranch gathering is sponsored by Novartis Animal Health and Texas Farm Credit. Anyone who joins TSCRA at the gathering will receive a free metal gate sign courtesy of Bayer Animal Health and New Holland Agriculture.
