More than 600 TSCRA members and friends gathered for three ranching events this week in northeast, south Central and far South Texas. Attendees to the gatherings heard from industry specialists, TSCRA leaders and special rangers about topics important to cattle raisers and landowners, as well as association activities and local law enforcement cases.
Members and friends at the De Kalb gathering heard from TSCRA Special Ranger Toney Hurley and TSCRA Director Missy Bonds. Special thanks go to the De Kalb Animal Hospital for hosting the event and to sponsors Novartis Animal Health, Lone Star Ag Credit, Paris Livestock Auction and Bowie County Equipment.
Attendees of the Rio Grande City gathering listened to TSCRA Special Ranger Roland Garcia and Stacy Fox, director of member programs. Thanks go to event sponsors Capital Farm Credit, Boehringer-Ingelheim Vetmedica, inc, Norborrk, Inc. and Ful-O-Pep Feeds. Appreciation also goes to Sam Rodriguez at RY Livestcock Sales for hosting the gathering.
Speakers at the Fredericksburg gathering included Richard Wortham, Texas Beef Council; Richard Thorpe, TSCRA second vice president, and Jason Skaggs, executive director, government and public affairs. Thanks to all of our generous sponsors for making this event a success and to the tremendous Gillespie County TSCRA members who served on the ranch gathering committee for making this event happen: Chairman Joe Sagebiel, Leland Geistweidt, Rodney Sauer, Milton Jung, Guenther Ottmers, Ted Stehling, Tom Roarick, Bob Bertelson and Max Hartmann.
