Cattle Raisers Convention opened Friday morning at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio with the School for Successful Ranching and opening of the Expo. Attendees learned about topics important to cattle raisers, including improving different aspects of animal health, maximizing cattle value marketing, calculating proper stocking rates and genetic selection strategies. Additional learning sessions and cattle handling demonstrations were also held in the Expo. In the evening, members, friends and guests gathered for the Young Cattle Raisers After Party at Pat O’Brien’s.
