
Carl Ray Polk Jr.
President
Carl Ray Polk, along with his father, owns and operates Polk Land & Cattle Co. in Angelina and Houston counties. Their land and ranching investments include registered Angus and Brahman cattle, commercial cow-calf operations, and real estate and timber production in East Texas. He was elected a TSCRA director in 2016.
Polk was born in 1966 in Lufkin to Carl Ray Sr. and Barbara Polk. He attended Kilgore College and the University of Texas-Austin and completed the Mergers and Acquisition Program through the Anderson School of Business at UCLA, Los Angeles.
He is a managing partner of Corner Capital Advisors and serves on the board of directors of CHI – St. Luke’s Memorial Medical Center, the George H. Henderson Jr. Exposition Center, Texas Food and Fuel Association, Angelina County Fair, and the Texas Wildlife Association.
Past service positions include board chairman of Lufkin Chamber of Commerce, past board chair of Texas Petroleum Marketers Association, member of Coca Cola National Retailers Council, and committees of the National Association of Convenience Stores. He has also served on the board of Hibernia National Bank shares, Tank Owners Mutual Insurance, Museum of East Texas and St. Cyprians Episcopal School.
He was the 2011 recipient of the Silver Spike in Angelina County.
Polk and his wife, Romy, live in Lufkin. They have three children: Andrew, Preston, and Mary Grace.
