Attend an eminent domain meeting in Texas

TSCRA and other landowner organizations will host meetings around Texas in the coming weeks. Attendees will participate in discussions of eminent domain issues, along with ideas to safeguard Texans’ private property rights. Property owners who attend will learn about upcoming legislative efforts to achieve fairness in the laws that govern the use of eminent domain in Texas and a legal expert will also be present for an overview of current laws and discuss possible improvements.
No RSVP is required to attend and anyone interested in this topic or who has past or present eminent domain issues is encouraged to attend.
To learn more about Texans for Property Rights and to find a meeting in your area, visit www.texansforpropertyrights.com. Additional meetings will be announced.
For questions regarding these meetings or to discuss issues with eminent domain, please contact Laramie Adams, TSCRA Director of Public Affairs at 512-469-0171.
The coalition advocating for eminent domain reform is comprised of TSCRA, Texas Farm Bureau (TFB), Texas Wildlife Association (TWA), Texas Forestry Association (TFA), South Texans’ Property Rights Association (STPRA), Texas Poultry Association (TPA), Texas Sheep and Goat Raisers Association (TSGRA), Independent Cattlemen’s Association (ICA), Texas Land and Mineral Owners Association (TLMA), Plains Cotton Growers (PCG), Texas Grain Sorghum  Association (TGSA) and Texas Association of Dairymen (TAD). These organizations have long pursued eminent domain reform that addresses fairness to landowners. More are expected to join this effort.
