ACTION ALERT: Testify on eminent domain reform

Senate Bill 421 will be heard by the Texas House Land and Resource Management Committee next THURSDAY, APRIL 25, 2019 at 8:00 a.m.

Please attend and testify for S.B. 421!

This is the last public hearing that will be held during the 86th Texas Legislative Session on eminent domain. Your testimony will help decide whether much needed reform legislation will die or continue to move forward.

Will the House Land and Resource Management Committee stand with Texas property owners and send S.B. 421 to the House floor, or will they allow continued abuse by profiteering oil and gas corporations? The answer may depend on your testimony!

The hearing will be at 8 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2019, in room E2.012 at the Texas State Capitol. Many legislators believe the process works fine the way it is. Please plan to tell the committee how eminent domain used by pipelines and power lines has impacted you, your family and your property. They need to hear first-hand the abuses that happen within the current process. Click or tap here to view the hearing notice.
