Cattle Raisers Convention and Expo 2016 was one for the record books

This year’s Cattle Raisers Convention and Expo in Fort Worth a record breaker, welcoming more than 4500 folks in town for the festivities.
Saturday’s events included information sessions on beef industry sustainability, private property rights and dispelling beef nutrition myths. This year’s Expo was also our largest ever and closed with the final call on the Law Enforcement Silent Auction, which raised around $100,000 for department equipment upgrades and training. The evening’s Cattle Raisers Dinner & Dance at the River Ranch was packed wall-to-wall for TSCRA’s first ever Belles of the Ball elite heifer auction to benefit TSCRA’s PAC, which raised more than $225,000.
The convention drew to a close on Sunday with the last information meetings and a general session brunch with leader elections and a climate and weather outlook from Climatological Analyst James J. Garriss. Please join us next year for the 2017 Cattle Raisers Convention and Expo, March 31-April 2 in San Antonio.
