Thank you for your interest in becoming a special ranger with Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA).
TSCRA employs 30 professional law enforcement officers who are strategically positioned throughout Texas and Oklahoma to investigate agricultural theft. TSCRA special rangers are commissioned by the Texas Department of Public Safety and/or the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
In the rare instances when a position becomes available, applicants must meet these minimum requirements to be considered for an interview:
- U.S. citizen
- Excellent physical condition
- Outstanding record of at least five (5) years of active law enforcement experience, including criminal investigative experience
- NOTE: Military police experience does not count toward the five (5) years of required experience
- Hold an active peace officers license
- Meet the approval of Texas Department of Public Safety and/or Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation
- Current in all mandated training required by respective state licensing agency
- Extensive background in the livestock (cattle) industry
- Pass a thorough and comprehensive background investigation
- Pass a polygraph and psychological evaluation
- No criminal history of (and not limited to) felony criminal convictions, family violence, DWI or DUI convictions
- Of good moral character and habits
- Good driving record
- Possess a valid Texas driver’s license free of any restrictions that would compromise the applicant’s ability to perform duties
Fort Worth Headquarters
The corporate sales director is primarily responsible for identifying, securing and stewarding corporate sponsorships and advertising revenue for Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) to meet revenue goals. This includes supporting the sales lifecycle and cultivating relationships with companies and businesses.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Support corporate sponsorship and advertising sales for all TSCRA programs, events, publications and digital properties
- Help develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve short- and long-term revenue targets
- Identify and pursue new corporate sales opportunities through market research, industry trends, and competitive analysis
- Create and maintain reports to monitor and review sales progress
- Manage sales operations including preparing quotes, generating invoices, and processing contracts accurately and efficiently
- Represent TSCRA at events, trade shows and networking opportunities to build and maintain relationships with prospective sponsors and advertisers
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maximize the use of CRM platform (Salesforce) ensuring accurate and up-to-date activity and data
- Develop custom sales pitches tailored to the needs of corporate businesses in the cattle industry or related fields
- Coordinate across departments to ensure sponsorship and advertising fulfillment
- Support the development of sales materials and resources including sales sheets and proposals
- Provide insight and feedback to improve TSCRA’s member value proposition
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work during customary workday/work week and other days as needed
- Must be willing and able to travel extensively throughout Texas and surrounding regions (up to 50–70% of the time), including evenings and weekends as needed
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Technical proficiency across CRM and digital platforms
- Proactive attitude with ability to anticipate needs, problems and opportunities
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be willing to consent to a background check

This includes supporting the sales lifecycle and cultivating relationships with commercial livestock producers, seedstock operators, sale barns, and other livestock-related entities.

Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association has expanded its Gilly Riojas Memorial Internship Program for 2026, now offering placements not only in Fort Worth, Austin and at the Cattle Raisers Convention & Expo, but also through new on-ranch and industry-partner opportunities.
Through the TSCRA Leadership Development Foundation, students gain hands-on experience across communications, policy, events, and ranch operations, preparing the next generation of leaders in the cattle industry.
