The WTO dispute settlement body has scheduled arbitration meetings Sept. 15-16 in Geneva to establish damages in the dispute regarding the United States’ country-of-origin labeling (COOL) regulations for meat. Canada is seeking authorization for about $2.3 billion in retaliatory tariffs, while Mexico is seeking $653 million. USTR responded to those claims in this recent filing.
