TSCRA Ranch Gathering held in Brownwood

Around 150 cattle raisers and landowners attended a ranch gathering in Brownwood on Tuesday, May 26.

Special thanks go to Scott Anderson, Brown County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Agent, for his help with this event. Attendees heard from Dr. Jason Banta, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Beef cattle specialist, about cattle vaccines, and from TSCRA Special Ranger Howard Brittain, who talked about TSCRA law enforcement activities in the area and protecting yourself against theft. TSCRA First Vice President Richard Thorpe also gave an update on the Texas legislative session and urged non-members to join the association. Gathering emcee Chad Halfman  wrapped up the event with door prizes and parting words about why it’s important to be involved in TSCRA.

Thanks to Robert Horner Elanco Animal Health for braving the heat and cooking the great meal. Our event sponsors include Elanco Animal Health, Central Texas Farm Credit, Brownwood Bulletin, Capital Farm Credit, Mix 30 by Agridyne and AgTexas Farm Credit Services.
